The Amazon Halo app allows you to connect and track your Halo band to monitor its activity. The app synced with the band has four main functions: activity, sleep, voice tone and the ability to track body fat percentage.

At night, the app tracks your eye closures and then gives you a sleep score from 0 to 100 based on how long and how well you rested. Then mark them in boxes named Activity, Sleep, Tone, and Body.

The Body feature uses your smartphone’s camera to create a personalized 3D model that you can use to measure your body fat percentage and track trends. Amazon says its Body Fat Percentage tool is as accurate as the methods doctors use.

When you first start using the tracker, you will need to set nutritional preferences, record your voice for tone analysis, perform a short motion assessment, and perform a body composition scan.

The last part is a little awkward because it asks you to remove your underwear before scanning it using your phone’s camera.

The Discover section of the Amazon Halo app features workouts and programs created by Amazon’s in-house experts and several third-party partners, including Headspace, Life sum, Orangetheory Fitness, and Weight Watchers.

View can track heart rate, steps, calories burned, and time spent sitting, calculate a nightly sleep score (after syncing with the app), and create a weekly “activity score.” That’s based on your steps and exercise sessions minus few points for sedentary time.
